Base X Pickleball Austrian Open 2026 – Austria’s first international prize-money tournament is coming up

Pickleball in Austria will reach a new milestone in 2026: The first Base X Pickleball Austrian Open will take place from June 25 to 28, 2026, at the Sporthotel Kurz in Oberpullendorf. It is the first international tournament organized by the Pickleball Federation Austria (PFA) and also the country’s first tournament with prize money.  

Why this tournament is a turning point

With the Austrian Open, Austria is establishing itself for the first time as a major destination on the European pickleball calendar. Players from all countries are eligible to compete; the finals will be streamed live on Streamster and also produced for television complete with commentary. This gives the sport a platform in this country that it has not had before.
